I report on faith, heritage, and community. To me, that means telling stories about how people practice traditions and care for one another, particularly in moments of social change or unrest.
My work is intimate and character-driven, aiming to close the gap between source and reader. I’m interested in documenting the small moments that make up life’s biggest stories. My reporting has covered subjects like formerly incarcerated Muslims in Louisiana, progressive Christian communities in New York, and generations of women navigating reproductive illness.
I hold an MS from Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism, where I specialized in visual storytelling. I work across writing, photography, and film.
